Sammy Lee named as assistant manager at Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have appointed Sammy Lee as assistant manager, bringing him together with Sam Allardyce for a third time.
Lee previously worked under Allardyce for almost two years when they were at Bolton Wanderers between 2005 and 2007 then during the latter's brief spell in charge of the English national team.
He has also worked in coaching roles at Liverpool and Southampton and stepped down from his latest position as England's assistant manager last month.
Lee quit after staying on following Allardyce's dismissal to help Gareth Southgate during his four-match spell as caretaker manager.
"I didn't need to take any time to think about it. As soon as he asked, (there was) no problem," Lee said.
"We (the Palace squad) have an abundance of talent and obviously this season has been a little bit different for them. A bit difficult but there's plenty of talent, there's plenty of quality. We just need to get them up and going again.
"I'm fairly hands on. I like to interact with the players, and hopefully bring the best out of them because I know for a fact that they'll bring the best out of me."
Allardyce, who is still seeking his first win since being appointed as Alan Pardew's successor before Christmas, told the club's official website: "I am looking forward to once again working with Sammy.
"It was great working with him at Bolton and he is someone who has a wealth of experience both at club and international level over the years as well."
