Who were the best Premier League players from the weekend games? We take a look at the man-of-the-match performances in our hotlist.

Man Utd 0-0 West Brom - Jonny Evans

The former Manchester United player put in a masterclass in how to defend your penalty box for the well-organised Baggies, who ground out a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.

When United put the ball in the box, Evans was there to head or boot clear. When Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial got free inside the box, Evans was quick to snuff out the danger.

Aided by centre-back partner Gareth McAuley, Evans was the rock at the heart of a back four that was keeping its first away clean sheet in 13 matches.

The Serbian midfielder was unlucky not to give Saints the lead in the first half with a deft curling effort which came off the outside of the post, while his delivery opened up a stubborn Cherries defence on several occasions.

He made more key passes (four) than any player on the pitch, and constantly looked forward with his first touch in a cagey affair on the south coast.

Burnley 0-2 Tottenham - Dele Alli

It was another fine showing from Alli as Tottenham won their first away Premier League game since New Year's Day, and he has now been involved in 11 goals in 11 league appearances for Spurs in 2017 as he set up Heung-Min Son for the second strike.

While he was mostly kept quiet in the first half, putting a decent chance over the bar, he showed how he can perform in the second half and looked to be in his full attacking flow when Son was introduced.

The 20-year-old has stepped up to the mark with Harry Kane out injured, and will need to continue to do so as the star striker makes his way back from injury.

Watford 1-0 Sunderland - Miguel Britos

Britos finally got his first goal in a yellow shirt, and it proved to be a crucial one at Vicarage Road.

The Uruguay international was dependable all afternoon and did an excellent job of keeping Sunderland's main goal threat Jermain Defoe quiet. He made a number of timely tackles and interceptions to ensure the Hornets kept their first clean sheet since January 14.

Liverpool 3-1 Everton - Philippe Coutinho

Coutinho scored the goal of the game as Liverpool beat Everton 3-1 at Anfield. With the score at 1-1, the Brazilian picked the ball up midway inside the Everton half and evaded a tackle from Idrissa Gueye before cutting inside Matthew Pennington in the box and curling a brilliant shot into the far corner.

Liverpool 3-1 Everton

He continued to look a constant threat for the hosts and set up Divock Origi to score the third goal.

"Coutinho has been struggling for form in the last couple of months but he was back to his best," said Gary Neville in his post-match podcast.

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace - Mamadou Sakho

The January transfer window can often make or break a team's season, but Sam Allardyce, not averse to a survival challenge, has struck gold with the late capture of Sakho.

In 360 minutes in a Palace shirt, a Sakho-inspired Eagles have been breached once, by Cesc Fabregas early on at Stamford Bridge.

No player made more clearances than the Liverpool loanee on Saturday, and several of those were from almost underneath his own crossbar.

Mamadou Sakho

His playing style may be a little unorthodox, but Sakho's ability to read the game is second to none. Diego Costa has rarely endured a more frustrating afternoon.

Leicester 2-0 Stoke - Wilfred Ndidi

The midfielder put Leicester City on their way to a crucial 2-0 win against Stoke City at the King Power on Saturday afternoon with an absolute piledriver.

Ndidi received a pass from Danny Simpson midway through the first half before striding forward unchallenged and thumping an unstoppable 25-yard effort past a helpless Lee Grant.

The Nigeria international, 20, has previous when it comes to long-range strikes after scoring his first-ever Foxes goal with a brilliant effort against Derby County in the FA Cup in February.

Hull 2-1 West Ham - Kamil Grosicki

It takes guts to take off your captain halfway through the match, but for Marco Silva it proved to be a tactical masterstroke. Curtis Davies was partly at fault for Andy Carroll's opener for West Ham, prompting Silva to shift up proceedings at half-time to give his side a chance at forcing a valuable three points.

Cue the arrival of January signing Grosicki to replace Davies at half-time. Just eight minutes into the second half, he showed just why Silva had made the change, concluding Hull's flowing attack by laying on the assist for Andy Robertson's opener.

And the former Rennes winger popped up again at the most vital point of the game, whipping in the 85th-minute corner that Andrea Ranocchia headed past Darren Randolph at the near post to hand the Tigers another important win.

Arsenal 2-2 Manchester City - Leroy Sane

Sane is fast becoming one of the Premier League's most impressive summer recruits, and his performance in Man City's 2-2 draw at Arsenal showed why.

He has scored eight goals from just 13 shots on target for Manchester City in all competitions, and was a constant threat down the left at the Emirates.

Sane impressed not only for his ability to get in-behind, but also his decision-making on the ball. He rarely runs into a cul-de-sac, and is prepared to turn back and find a team-mate if the route ahead is blocked. A mature head on a 21-year-old's shoulders.

Swansea 0-0 Middlesbrough - Ben Gibson

Gibson returned from his first international call-up with England to put in a fine defensive display for Middlesbrough against Swansea in their goalless draw on Sunday.

Gibson did an excellent job of preventing Swansea's lone striker Jordan Ayew from having a significant influence on the match, and also made a number of crucial headed clearances to restrict Swansea's impact inside Boro's penalty box.

More performances like this, and we'll be seeing Gibson pick up a full England cap before too long.
