The midfielder joined Old Trafford in July 2006, and will link up with some of his former team-mates from both United and England on June 4 to celebrate his time with the club.

Of course, there is still plenty to play for in the Premier League and beyond this season, with a Europa League quarter-final tie against Anderlecht to come in the next 10 days as well as facing Chelsea live on Sky Sports on Sunday.

Carrick has won every English honour in the game as well as a few European trophies, and was quizzed about his United career during a recent interview with Sky Sports.

Michael Carrick's testimonial will be played at Old Trafford on June 4 with all funds raised after expenses distributed to his chosen charities through the newly-created Michael Carrick Foundation.
