Bournemouth have confirmed Jack Wilshere will miss the rest of the season with a broken leg.
The midfielder, who has been on a season-long loan from Arsenal, suffered a hairline fracture of his left fibula in the second half of Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Wilshere will now undergo further assessments. He suffered the injury after a collision with Harry Kane in the second half and left White Hart Lane on crutches and wearing a protective boot on his left foot.
He will miss the remaining five Premier League games of the season against Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Stoke City, Burnley and Leicester City.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said it was a "big blow" to lose the midfielder.
"We have loved working with him since he arrived at the club last August," he said.
"He has made a huge contribution to our season, both on and off the pitch.
"We wish him a quick recovery and thank him for his effort and professionalism while he was with us."
The England international has made 27 league appearances for the Cherries this season after an injury-ravaged time at Arsenal.
The spell on the sidelines comes at a bad time as he is due to enter contract talks with his parent club, with his current deal running until the end of the season.
