England manager Gareth Southgate could have been at the Etihad Stadium watching the Manchester derby - but instead was a guest of Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.
Seven of England's stars were contesting a lively 0-0 draw between Manchester United and Manchester City in the race for the Premier League's top four - a game live on Sky Sports - on Thursday night.
Wayne Rooney, Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young and Luke Shaw were also sitting on the United bench ready to impress their national team boss.
But he was up the M62 instead watching Huddersfield Giants win their first Super League game since February with a 31-12 victory over the Rhinos.
The Super League Twitter account showed off their visitor by tweeting: "Great to see the England manager Gareth Southgate enjoying some Super League action at Headingley."
Defeat for Leeds means they missed the chance to go top of the table, while both City and United made sure their chances of finishing in the Champions League places are in their own hands with a point apiece.
