Carling Goal of the Month nominees for Premier League announced

The eight-goal shortlist for the Carling Goal of the Month award for April in the Premier League has been announced.

Premier League leaders Chelsea make the list twice through Diego Costa and Pedro, whose stunning efforts in late April helped keep the Blues at the top of the Premier League going into May.

Spurs' Dele Alli makes the list for his long-range pearler against Watford, as well as Roberto Firmino for his winning half-volley in Liverpool's 2-1 victory at Stoke.

Philippe Coutinho is also on the list for his goal in the defeat by Crystal Palace, while Sam Clucas, Leroy Sane and Xherdan Shaqiri make up the list:
