A number of Premier League players are walking a disciplinary tightrope ahead of the gruelling run of fixtures over the festive period.

Players who have been cautioned four times in domestic competitions this season will be aware that another yellow card will automatically land them a one-match ban.

The cut-off date for players to avoid a suspension for accumulating five cards is on December 31, which marks the halfway point of the season - and it could influence team selections over the next few weeks.

Pep Guardiola opted to rest Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho against West Ham last weekend to ensure that they would not miss Super Sunday's Manchester derby through suspension.

Here is the full list of Premier League players in danger of collecting a fifth booking before the end of the year and consequently missing a potentially pivotal fixture.
