Swansea boss Garry Monk insists a draw was a fair result against Everton

Garry Monk insisted a draw was a fair result as his Swansea side drew 0-0 with Everton at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
Everton appeared to have the better of the second half, in particular, but both sides had chances to win the game before Kevin Mirallas was sent off for the visitors in stoppage time.
The Swansea manager was certainly happy to take a point and believes that his Everton counterpart Roberto Martinez probably felt the same.
"In the end a good point I think, for both teams," he said. "It was two good teams, a very even contest, we both had opportunities and I think it would have been a case of whoever got that first goal would have gone on to win the game.
"We had some good chances and so did they but I think all in all both managers will be happy."
Swansea's defending particularly pleased Monk, a defender himself in his playing days, as they did everything they could to deny Everton a breakthrough goal.
"I'd have preferred to see a few of our chances go in but, of course, there are those periods where you have to defend and as a team we did that exceptionally well," Monk added.
"You're putting bodies on the line, defending for your lives. We probably didn't have that last week (at Watford) where we should have done and we got back to that this week."
"[It was] a great effort from the team, great work ethic and on another day we could have won it but I think a point was a fair result.
"Two good sets of players I saw out there today, different types of players and players trying to win the game playing good football. I thought it was a good advert for the Premier League."
