Brendan Rodgers frustrated after Liverpool held by Norwich

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was left frustrated after his side were held to a 1-1 draw by Norwich City at Anfield.
The home side took the lead just after half-time when substitute Danny Ings scored his first goal for the club in front of The Kop.
The goal eased the tension in the stadium, giving Liverpool the impetus to express themselves and chase a second.
But a lapse in concentration at a corner cost them and Russell Martin's equaliser was enough to earn a draw for the visitors.
Despite the setback Rodgers felt his side should have gone on to win the game after missing a number of chances.
"I'm a bit disappointed and frustrated that we couldn't get the three points especially after going in front," he said.
"After getting the first goal our confidence was much better, but we lost our concentration on a corner, which was very disappointing and we conceded a poor goal.
"In fairness to the players they kept fighting, kept looking to get the winning goal, but unfortunately we couldn't get it."
Although Rodgers was left to rue his side's wasteful finishing, he drew positives from their ability to open up Norwich.
"We had a number of opportunities to score more than the one goal and that was the pleasing aspect of today," he explained.
"I think in other games since the beginning of the season we haven't created so much - it was important we got some flow in our game today and it was much better second half."
The catalyst for Liverpool's improved second half performance was summer signing Ings. The former Burnley striker scored three minutes after the interval and looked to get in behind the Norwich City defence with clever moment and plenty of energy.
Rodgers was delighted to see Ings open his account for the Merseysiders. "I'm very pleased for Danny. He was outstanding when he came on - he gave the game a real lift with his intensity and pressure.
"Danny's touch and finish was excellent and he gave us great enthusiasm and quality when he came on."
Rodgers was also pleased to welcome Daniel Sturridge back to the side after a long-term injury lay-off.
The England international was off the pace and missed a clear cut in the first half, but Rodgers insists he just needs patience and time.
"He played an hour today and that was important for him. We felt we needed to get him out into the games," he said.
"He's probably nowhere near match fit yet, but he's worked very hard in training and the only way he's going to get match fit is by playing the games.
"He'll recovery now and we'll look to see where he's at for the next game."
