We’ve asked Sky Sports Now guest Stuart Pearce to give each side a grade based solely on their 90-minute performance over the weekend.

Weekend results

  • Newcastle 0-1 Arsenal
  • Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace
  • Liverpool 0-3 West Ham
  • Man City 2-0 Watford
  • Stoke 0-1 West Brom
  • Aston Villa 2-2 Sunderland
  • Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester
  • Southampton 3-0 Norwich
  • Swansea 2-1 Man United
  • Tottenham 0-0 Everton

So did your team get an A+ or an F, or somewhere in between? Read on to see how your team has been ranked.

Swansea (A+)

To come from behind to beat Manchester United was a wonderful performance from Swansea and their manager Garry Monk. With victory they build on their previous results against united and also their solid start to the season. It has to be an A+.

Patrick Davison is joined by Alan Smith at the Liberty Stadium to reflect on Swansea's 2-1 win over Manchester United

Crystal Palace (A+)

They look a really strong outfit this season. Given Jose Mourinho's track record, going away and winning at Chelsea is a huge achievement at any time. It's definitely an A+ result for Alan Pardew's side.

West Ham (A+)

After two defeats at home, to come out and deliver a result like that is amazing. In their two away games they've won at Arsenal and Liverpool. Not many teams will do that this year.

Manchester City (A+)

Manuel Pellegrini's side are an A+ at the moment. Everyone's playing their part for City and they are full of confidence at the moment. On top of that they are doing good business in the transfer market. It was a good weekend for the Premier League leaders.

Arsenal (A-)

The Gunners needed a good result going into the international break and they got just that at St James' Park. It's not an easy place to go and after the sending off, they were full value for their three points.

West Brom (B+)

It was a great result for Tony Pulis. He will be delighted at going back to Stoke and getting the win. It's three points against a side you want to be in and around come the end of the season.

Southampton (B)

This can be the result that turns Southampton's season around. It was an excellent performance from Ronald Koeman's men and a much needed result. The feel good factor will be back at St Mary's.

Jamie Redknapp feels Tottenham need marquee players and the current team lacks balance

Everton (B-)

The team on the road will always be happier with a draw. That's the same here. Everton will be delighted with a clean sheet at White Hart Lane and now, all of a sudden, they've been to Southampton and been to Tottenham and have four out of six points and two clean sheets. That's an excellent away record so far for Roberto Martinez and his side.

Sunderland (B-)

It was a decent result for Sunderland, especially off the back of their poor run of form. They grabbed a point against a potential rival at the bottom of the table come the end of the season. The draw was certainly a better result for Sunderland than Aston Villa.

Leicester (B-)

Another good result for Leicester. They maintain their unbeaten record and keep the momentum going into the international break. Claudio Ranieri will be delighted with another point after his side's excellent start to the season.

Tottenham (C+)

Spurs have been held to draws against Stoke and now Everton at home. They are two games Mauricio Pochettino will have been expecting to win, especially if they want to challenge for the top four. It's a C+ for the north London club.

Aston Villa (C)

Dick Advocaat conceded Aston Villa bossed the game at Villa Park so Tim Sherwood will be slightly disappointed his side only managed to pick up a point. It's just a C for Villa.

Charlie Nicholas believed Aston Villa had plenty of chances to secure a victory over Sunderland, but failed to grasp them

Bournemouth (C)

If you want to stay up in the Premier League you probably have to beat Leicester at home. However, Eddie Howe will be happy to walk away with a point as we head into the international break.

Newcastle (C)

Steve McClaren's side played a lot of the game with 10 men, which is difficult against a side like Arsenal. Newcastle kept it tight against Arsenal but were comfortably beaten in the end. They are doing much better as a team than their league position suggests.

Watford (C)

Paul Merson says Watford never looked like scoring during the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City

Despite defeat at the Etihad, I still think Watford will do well this season. I don't think they will get relegated and I've said that from the start. They'll have the ability to loan players in from the feeder clubs that the owners own. It's never easy facing Man City but from their point of view they are outside the bottom three. A lot of teams will lose on their travels to City.

Stoke (C-)

I expected Stoke to take all three points at the weekend. The two red cards had a massive impact on the game. Stoke are still without a win so far this season and from their point of view it will be three points lost, but the red cards have to be taken into account.

Gary Neville agrees with Louis van Gaal that Man United's defeat against Swansea will not affect their transfer dealings

Manchester United (D)

Once United got their nose in front they would have expected to at least come away with a point. Swansea is a tough place to go to but the bottom line is it's a defeat and Louis van Gaal's men get a D.

Norwich (D)

The sending-off has played a major part for Norwich. However, it was still one-way traffic as the game meandered into a comfortable win for Southampton. It's a D- in defeat for Alex Neil's side.

Phil Thompson says that a number of Chelsea's players underperformed during the 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace

Chelsea (D-)

It was another really disappointing result for Chelsea. Crystal Palace are no pushovers but from Chelsea's point of view they've stuttered into the season and have not picked up any momentum. I think they need the international break to re-group after another poor result.

Liverpool (D-)

I did not see this result coming. Defensively, Liverpool have been really tight so far this season and then to get beaten by a team that's been beaten twice at home is a real blow. It spoils their excellent start to the season.
