Adnan Januzaj's agent has hit out at claims the Manchester United winger has a "poor state of mind".

Belgium U21 head coach Enzo Scifo is said to have questioned Januzaj's attitude after he turned down the opportunity to link up with the squad last week.

Scifo was reported to have told Belgian newspaper La Derniere Heure: "A 20-year-old player who gives this impression of non-motivation, it reflects a poor state of mind."

But Januzaj's agent, Dirk De Vriese, has leapt to the defence of his client and denied there was any issue with the player's approach.

Januzaj is currently on a season-long loan at Borussia Dortmund, but is yet to start a match for the Bundesliga outfit.

"There is no question of a bad state of mind," De Vriese told La Derniere Heure. "Adnan focuses on his work and we plan the rest. Do not point the finger.

"[Borussia Dortmund] are doing well and is a real machine. The current Dortmund is one of the best teams in Europe.
