Donald Love has joined Manchester United's lengthy list of injured players after limping out of Monday's U21 match.
The defender, 21, who made his debut in the 2-1 defeat to Midtjylland in the Europa League, suffered a suspected hamstring injury during the 2-1 win over Middlesbrough.
On the plus side for boss Louis van Gaal, Adnan Januzaj came safely through an hour of action as he steps up his fitness.
United have 17 players unavailable ahead of Wednesday night's Premier League match with Watford.
Van Gaal is currently without Love, Matteo Darmian (shoulder), Phil Jones (ankle), Ashley Young (groin), Antonio Valencia (foot), Luke Shaw (broken leg), Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (knock), Wayne Rooney (knee), Sam Johnstone (unspecified), Chris Smalling (shoulder), Axel Tuanzebe (unspecified), Marcos Rojo (knock), Sean Goss (back), Marouane Fellaini (hamstring), Bastian Schweinsteiger (knee), Will Keane (groin) and Anthony Martial (hamstring).
United have more injuries at present than any other Premier League side, and sit three points off the top four with 11 games remaining.
