Manchester United legend Eric Cantona was back at Old Trafford on Sunday to see his former team draw with Leicester City.

The 49-year-old Frenchman linked up with former team-mate Peter Schmeichel and met some of United's current players after the Premier League match that ended 1-1, forcing the visitors to wait for at least another day to secure the league title.

Schmeichel, United's goalkeeper from 1991-1999, was in Manchester to see his son Kasper who was playing in goal for Leicester 17 years after watching his dad lift the Premier League trophy.

United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, stuck on the sidelines since the start of January with a torn medial ligament, was the first to express his delight at chatting with Cantona, a United star between 1992 and 1997.

The 31-year-old said on his Instagram account: "Met Eric Cantona today. One of my favourite players when I was a child."
