Louis van Gaal has a hair-raising chat with Sky Sports reporter Patrick Davison

Louis van Gaal has never been one for boring interviews.

Following Sunday's 1-1 draw at Old Trafford with Leicester, the Manchester United boss described his side's efforts as "one of the best matches of the season".

Sky Sports reporter Patrick Davison moved on to quiz Van Gaal about the game's big decisions, with the penalties not awarded by referee Michael Oliver top of the agenda.

One incident that seemed to fire up Van Gaal was Robert Huth's alleged hair-tugging of Marouane Fellaini as he defended the subsequent reaction of the Belgium international.

Van Gaal said: "When you look at what Huth is doing with Fellaini, that's a penalty. Shall I grab your hair? What is your reaction, when I grab your hair?

"Your hair is much shorter than Fellaini, but when I do that, what are you doing then?"

Not even Davison could have expected his Dutch interviewee to reach up at his locks and attempt to recreate the actions of the Foxes defender.

Huth and Fellaini face an anxious wait to see if they are in hot water with the authorities for their actions, but it seems Van Gaal is in the clear, judging by Davison's comments on Monday morning .

The Sky Sports reporter tweeted: "Sorry to disappoint but no hair was pulled in the making of yesterday's post-match interviews."
