LA Galaxy are interested in signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, according to Sky sources.

Ibrahimovic signed a one-year deal at Manchester United last summer, despite LA Galaxy trying to sign the striker after his contract ended with Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United expect Ibrahimovic, 35, to stay at Old Trafford for at least another year, although the Swede is yet to confirm if he will take up the 12-month extension option on his current deal.

Now Zlatan Ibrahimovic is banned, will Man Utd's dependency on him prove problematic?

Ibrahimovic has been ruled out of United's upcoming FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea, as well as Premier League games against Middlesbrough and West Brom, after being handed a three-match ban for violent conduct in the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth last weekend.

Jose Mourinho has offered assurances Ibrahimovic will still be at the club next year, but joked Manchester United fans should "go to the door of his house" to convince him following the forward's double in the 3-2 EFL Cup final win over Southampton in February.
