Paul Pogba trained with the rest of the squad on Wednesday as Manchester United prepared for Thursday's Europa League semi-final against Celta Vigo.

FIFA has asked for further information on Pogba's world-record transfer from Juventus after a new book, published in Germany, claimed to have a detailed breakdown of the £89.3m deal.

Football's governing body has given no details of the information it wants and United say FIFA has been in possession of all relevant documents since the transfer was approved last summer.

And Pogba, rested at Arsenal on Sunday, appeared relaxed as United trained on Wednesday morning.

Jose Mourinho's side take a 1-0 lead into the second leg, and there were no new absentees at Carrington in the wake of the defeat at the Emirates.

The five senior players missing were Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Tim Fosu-Mensah and Ashley Young.

Mourinho is due to hold his pre-match press conference at around 5.30pm, but in the meantime Michael Carrick says United are desperate for a second trophy in the first season under their new manager.

He said: "Whatever competition you're in, especially at this club, with the team we've got, we're looking to win it. It's a great opportunity.

"We'll respect who is left in the competition - it's not going to be easy and we're not taking anything for granted at all - but that's got to be the aim. There's nothing else that matters.

"[Mourinho] is a winner. He's won everywhere he's been, so that's almost enough. He's certainly got the respect of the players and everyone in football because he's been so successful.

"However he's done that, you've got to look and learn from it. He's like us - we all want to win and we all want to lift trophies.

"There've been a lot of positive things to take from this season: the consistency of the team, the general performance. There's real confidence approaching the end of the season and looking ahead to next season."
