Jose Mourinho says the Manchester United squad is a "happy camp" after winning all of their games in January.

After a tricky December in which they lost twice and drew three games, Mourinho's men have made a strong start to the New Year - beating Everton, Stoke and Burnley, along with victories in the FA Cup against Derby and Yeovil.

United are yet to concede a goal in 2018 after five games, scoring 12 goals and Mourinho says he has been impressed by his side's improved defensive performances under pressure.

Jose Mourinho is open to Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaving Manchester United this month but he still hopes to convince Marouane Fellaini to sign a contract extension.

Mourinho told MUTV: "We have managed to win every match in January, I think three Premier League matches and two cup matches, so five victories makes a happy camp.

"We are playing with a good balance. It is not easy to not concede goals because of the high quality of football in this country but scoring goals and winning matches is very important because we need points. We are playing well and we deserved these results."

David Beckham admits he did not expect Alexis Sanchez to move from Arsenal to Manchester United.

The Portuguese said: "Spurs are one of the top teams in the country - not a title contender because they are too far away, but I say honestly they are a Champions League contender. They can reach that level.

"They have some of the best players in the country, a very good manager and are a very difficult opponent.

"It is a really big game. The difference between us and Spurs is seven or eight points, but the reality is they are a top team in terms of their quality and ambitions, and a team of our level, so it is a big match."
