Jose Mourinho declined to speak to the media after he was sent to the stands during Chelsea's 2-1 defeat at West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Blues' dreadful season hit a new low as they imploded at Upton Park, with midfielder Nemanja Matic, first-team coach Silvino Louro and then Mourinho himself all dismissed by referee Jon Moss.

Earlier this month, Mourinho was fined £50,000 and given a suspended stadium ban for criticising referee Robert Madley following their loss to Southampton on October 3.

Chelsea's poor start by numbers

  • 15 - goals scored so far this term. Does not compare favourably with same period last season, by which point they had plundered 26
  • 19 - times their goal has been breached this term. Last season, the Blues conceded just 32 goals, making them the Premier League's tightest defence
  • 6 - the loss to West Ham was just the sixth London derby defeat Mourinho has tasted in 53 Premier League encounters
  • 3 - Nemanja Matic's sending off was Chelsea's third of the season, following red cards shown to Thibaut Courtois and John Terry

And the embattled Blues boss dodged the usual post-match press conference after his side slumped to their fifth defeat in 10 matches.
