Chelsea Ladies manager Emma Hayes has given birth to a healthy baby boy, the club have announced.
Hayes, who guided the side to FA Cup glory this season with a 3-1 victory over Arsenal, will now take a break from football.
Chelsea announced the news on Thursday via their official website.
"We are delighted to confirm Chelsea Ladies manager Emma Hayes has today given birth to a healthy baby boy," read a short statement.
"All at Chelsea FC would like to send our congratulations to Emma.
"Emma announced she was pregnant with twins last year, however sadly, one of the twins did not make it past the third trimester.
"We ask for Emma's privacy to be respected at this time as she takes a break from football and enjoys life as a new mother."
Hayes watched on TV on Tuesday night as Chelsea won 2-0 at Bristol City to be crowned Women's Super League champions.
That completed the double for Chelsea after their FA Cup triumph at Wembley earlier this month.
Doctors had advised Hayes not to travel to Bristol, but Chelsea players said she was part of the celebrations as the squad FaceTimed her before lifting the trophy.
