Brazilian midfielder raring to go at the Bridge

New Chelsea signing Ramires says it is a "dream come true" to finally sign on the dotted line at Stamford Bridge. The 23-year-old Brazilian midfielder has completed his move to the Premier League champions from Portuguese side Benfica in a deal thought to be around the £17million mark. But the transfer looked to be doomed as first Benfica were holding out for a larger fee and then work permit issues also threatened the deal. However, both problems were resolved and Ramires signed his contract on Friday night, leaving the Brazil international thrilled at the prospect of playing for the Blues. "I was a little bit worried because obviously it dragged on a little bit, but I tried to keep calm and do my training," he told the club's official website. "With a little bit of time I will get to know everything and I am sure I will be very happy here. "Just to think that I will wear Chelsea's shirt is a dream come true for any player. I know it is a very strong, competitive league, but I just hope that I can adapt as fast and as well as I can to give my best. "I am sure everything is going to be fine," he added.
