Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking forward to welcoming Rafa Benitez back to Anfield on Saturday.

Benitez will return to Liverpool as an opposing boss for only the second time since leaving the club in 2010 when he brings his relegation-haunted Newcastle side to Merseyside.

Klopp is familiar with the situation, having made his return to former club Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League earlier this month, and has no issue with fans celebrating the occasion.

The Spaniard, whose previous return was as interim Chelsea boss in 2013, is expected to receive a warm reception after guiding the Reds to Champions League glory in 2005.

"I really like Rafa, we have met a few times," said Klopp.

"From my point of view, if someone wants to celebrate Rafa Benitez in memory of Istanbul or whatever - he is one of the most successful managers at Liverpool - they are very welcome.
