Jurgen Klopp insists the Liverpool squad is now his and not the team he inherited from Brendan Rodgers - admitting he can have no excuses for failure this season.
Klopp, whose side play AC Milan in the International Champions Cup at 3am on Sunday, live on Sky Sports 1, has offloaded ten players and signed seven this summer.
Georginio Wijnaldum, Sadio Mane, Marko Grujic, Alex Manninger, Lorius Karius, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan have all arrived at Anfield, and Klopp believes such changes has allowed him to put his stamp on the club.
"This is my squad now," Klopp said. "After all the transfers…this time it is my team. There are probably no players here anymore I don't want. There are no signings I didn't want, we have not sold anyone I didn't want to.
"And if you have seen them in training, there is a special quality that we did not have last year.
"Above all, you can see we have created a special atmosphere, not only in our team but with our fans."
Klopp is not making any predictions ahead of the new season but he says there will be "no excuses" that he needs more time to build a squad capable of challenging for silverware.
"I'm not afraid of making decisions - it's part of the job," Klopp added. "I am happy with my team now - all I can say is we will be a challenger.
"We will fight for everything, for every cup and what will happen in the end we will see.
"Certainly at the moment we shouldn't look for excuses and say things like 'I need another year' or things like that.
"We will try everything 100 per cent and see what happens. We built this team only to be successful, not one where we say we will have to wait."
