Marko Grujic has admitted that he is still adapting to life at Liverpool, and says next season could be the one where he truly breaks through at Anfield.

After a promising pre-season, in which he scored three goals, Grujic came on as a late substitute in the 2-0 defeat to Burnley on August 20.

Despite the lack of game-time so far, the 20-year-old is confident he can make a significant impact at Liverpool but admits it may take time.

"For the first season I just want to learn from these guys. I have the big pleasure of playing with some of the best footballers in the world," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"I want to get some minutes and games to try and improve myself for the future. I think next season will be the one where I show what I can do."
