Roberto Firmino is hoping boss Jurgen Klopp will make him the 'Neymar of Liverpool'.
Firmino has been outstanding for the Reds so far this season and he will spearhead their attack in Friday Night Football's mouthwatering clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
After four years in Germany with Hoffenheim, Firmino has made excellent progess at Anfield and he is hoping Klopp - a man he respects hugely from his time in the Bundesliga - can help turn him into Liverpool's answer to Barcelona superstar Neymar, his fellow Brazilian.
"I played against Klopp's teams for four-and-a-half years," Firmino told the Daily Mail.
"I know what he wants from a player. When I heard that he was coming to be Liverpool manager, I was so pleased. I could not have been happier.
"I knew what he was going to bring here. He brought a style of work and play from Germany and the team has adapted to it. Our friendship is crystal clear. There is nothing behind it. He is a great person. If you do what he asks you to do, you will never let him down.
"Can he make me the Neymar of Liverpool? It all depends on me."
There could be seven Brazilians on the pitch in west London, eight if you include Brazil-born Diego Costa.
Firmino will be up against his friend and Brazil team-mate David Luiz - who will be making his second debut for Chelsea after rejoining them on Deadline Day from Paris Saint-Germain - at Stamford Bridge.
"He's my amigo," said Firmino. 'I don't get the chance to see him in person a lot but I speak to him on WhatsApp whenever I can.
"I was a little bit surprised when he came back to England but he is a great player. I've not spoken to him this week but I'm looking forward to playing against him."
