The police have confirmed they’re investigating a carpool video of the Liverpool star Dejan Lovren following concerns about road safety.

The video was filmed by the club's official TV station, but has since been removed. It showed the footballer singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" while driving team-mates to the training ground.

At times, Lovren appeared to have both hands off the steering wheel and was using a mobile phone as he drove Marko Grujic and Lazar Markovic around the city.

In a statement, Merseyside Police said they had been made aware of the contents of the Instagram video and officers are assessing whether any further action needs to be taken.
