Jurgen Klopp says Steven Gerrard is "always welcome" at Liverpool after some believed the midfielder had earlier hinted at an LA Galaxy exit.

Gerrard's contract with the five-time MLS Cup winners expires at the end of the season in the US, with Galaxy playing their final regular game of the campaign on Sunday having already booked a play-off spot.

Some took a post on the 36-year-old's official Instagram account as a goodbye message on Saturday when he was actually addressing the Galaxy supporters ahead of the club's planned fan appreciation night on Sunday, with some of his team-mates also making statements.
