Liverpool striker Divock Origi insists his confidence has not been affected by his recent barren spell in front of goal.
The Belgium international enjoyed the best spell of his career in late November and early December as he scored in five consecutive games.
However, since netting against Sunderland, Leeds, Bournemouth, West Ham and Middlesbrough, he has gone nine games without a goal.
That spell includes 180 minutes in the FA Cup against Sky Bet League Two side Plymouth, with Origi missing a penalty in last week's replay, but the 21-year-old remains upbeat.
He told Liverpool's website: "As a striker you always want to score but the most important thing is to keep doing your thing, keep focused, keep playing your game.
"If the qualities are there and the instinct is there, it's just a matter of finding the right places. I'm confident it will be okay."
Origi's dip in form has coincided with that of the team's and the third-round replay win at Plymouth is Liverpool's only victory in 2017.
The forward is therefore more concerned with helping Jurgen Klopp's team back to winning ways, starting against Southampton in their EFL Cup semi-final second leg at Anfield on Wednesday.
Claude Puel's side hold a 1-0 lead from the first game courtesy of Nathan Redmond's goal at St Mary's two weeks ago.
Origi added: "You always want to score as much as possible, but the most important thing is that we win as a team, that we play our football, that we get confidence from that.
"And like we've seen before, when the team plays well, obviously as a player you also benefit from it."
