Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says Liverpool have the power over Philippe Coutinho's future

Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says Liverpool hold the power over Philippe Coutinho's future.

According to Sky sources, Liverpool rejected Barcelona's bid of £90.4m for Coutinho, which included an upfront fee and add-ons.

Rodgers, who signed Coutinho from Inter Milan for £8.5m in 2013, says his old club will decide the midfielder's future.

The Celtic boss told Sky Sports News: "He's always going to have other clubs that will want him but Liverpool don't have to sell if they don't want to.

Barcelona have identified the Brazilian as one of their top targets to replace Neymar, who signed for Paris St Germain in a world record £200m transfer.
