West Brom's caretaker manager Darren Moore gave a stern response to Jurgen Klopp's claim that their draw against Liverpool was 'useless'

Darren Moore has hit back at Jurgen Klopp's claims following Liverpool's 2-2 draw at West Brom, describing the result as "far from useless".

The Liverpool manager was far from pleased after the Baggies came from two goals down to snatch a point from his side thanks to two set pieces.

Klopp said West Brom had the ball "constantly in the air" and that the point Moore's side earned was "useless" as they were likely to be relegated from the Premier League anyway.

But Moore said: "(The point was) far from useless really. Delighted with the result. Listen, I can't go by what Jurgen's said.

"He's said his views and that's it. I still believe he's a fantastic manager, he's an excellent man, affectionate man, passionate to win the game. All those things I share.

"That's his views for Liverpool. My views are for West Brom and I can say now I was delighted".

Moore also responded to Klopp's apparent criticism of West Brom's focus on set pieces, saying: "There's many different ways to score through open play and set plays. It's part and parcel of the game.

Jurgen Klopp says West Brom did not water the pitch at half-time of the draw against Liverpool, which made playing football very hard

"We scored two goals from set plays - two fantastic set plays. But also you want to try to score in open play.

"If we are to get more goals through set pieces in the future then great".

West Brom have to beat Newcastle on Saturday to stand any chance of avoiding relegation, and they have received a boost with the news that Daniel Sturridge has recovered from his latest injury.

"Yes he's fit to start should the manager decide so! He looked very good in training", Moore said.

"I don't like to speak about individuals because it is a team. But I've had the beauty of seeing him in training and he looks very, very good at present".
