Liverpool reportedly make a decision over who will be No 1 at Anfield next season as we round-up the latest transfer rumours on Thursday, July 5.

Loris Karius is to remain Liverpool's No 1 after the club were priced out of deals for Alisson and Jan Oblak, reports the Mirror.

The German keeper's two errors were partly responsible for Liverpool's Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid in May.

Elsewhere, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is facing a major battle to convince Liverpool to loan him Harry Wilson, says the Daily Express.

The Wales international midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Championship side Hull City.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are hoping to sign Ajax right-back Ki-Jana Hoever, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The versatile 16-year-old can also play as a central defender.

And finally, Liverpool's Fabinho says he was "never close" to signing for Manchester United.

The 24-year-old, who revealed last summer he would be tempted by a move to Old Trafford, confirmed that a "few conversations" took place between the clubs, but no official offer was submitted.

Fabinho joined Liverpool last month in a deal worth £43.7m, signing a four-year deal at Anfield.
