Liverpool are set to launch their first full-time coaching programme for schools in the United Arab Emirates.

The club will join with partner PESCO, a Dubai-based sports and events management company, to deliver player development programmes within a network of schools in the country.

The youth coaching project will initially focus on schools in Dubai and will officially start from October 2015.

It will provide the chance for youngsters between the ages of seven and 15 to improve their football skills as well as social aspects of the game through age-specific coaching.

Ian Rush, Liverpool Football Club ambassador said: "The young players will have a fantastic experience on this programme and will be taught the fundamental skills of the game by Liverpool FC coaches.

"On all our projects we aim to develop players both on and off the pitch and this partnership is no different."

"Our International Academies enable us to bring the Club closer to our young fans around the world and we're set to do just that with this project in Dubai," Rush added.

PESCO's programme director Mr Nisal Mohammed is thrilled to partner Liverpool FC when attempting to bring the best coaching to young players in the UAE.

"We are hugely excited by the opportunity to deliver the club's coach philosophy and practices with the help of the experienced Liverpool FC coaches," he said.
