Hector Bellerin has been ruled out of Arsenal's Champions League game at Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
The full-back has a small groin injury, according to Arsene Wenger, and his absence means Arsenal are now without nine first-team players for the trip to Bavaria, where they will go into the game as Group F's bottom side.
Mathieu Debuchy will deputise for Bellerin, whose form has been keeping the £12m France international out of the side since the spring.
Wenger, speaking at his pre-match press conference, said: "He will play and I'm confident, I trust Debuchy.
"He is a very dedicated player and works hard in training. He played the full game fortunately last week against Sheffield Wednesday so physically he should be ready."
Debuchy's teenage compatriot Jeff-Reine Adelaide, who featured in the pre-season Emirates Cup, has travelled and is in the squad.
Arsenal revived their hopes of making the knockout for a 16th straight season when they beat Bayern last month, something no other side has managed to do this season.
And Wenger says he will send out a side to win the return match despite saying at the weekend he would "sign for a point now".
"I don't think it is easy to look for a draw," he said. "What we want is to play to win. When you are Arsenal and we have won everywhere in Europe, even here, we will try to win the game. Are Bayern a great team? Yes. But it is a good challenge for us to compete with them.
"We are in a period where we are doing well and that should convince the players we can do something right. We have a good togetherness and I believe we are a team that stick together when things don't go well."
Arsenal have a good record at the Allianz Arena having won and drawn there in recent seasons, albeit neither result could prevent elimination from the Champions League over two legs.
Even a defeat on Wednesday would not end their chances of qualifying, but if Olympiakos were also to beat Dinamo Zagreb the gap between Arsenal and the Greek champions would be six points with two matches to play.
"A defeat would put us in a very bad position," Wenger said. "That is why we don't want to lose the game. We would still have a chance but it would diminish our chance to qualify, the best way is not to get into that position and get points tomorrow night.
"But I think it is a good opportunity for us to show that we are moving forward, that we are up to the test we face tomorrow. We have shown that in the first game. What you want is 100 per cent commitment from your players in an intelligent way."
