Santi Cazorla says he will be back as planned at the start of next month despite fears his season could be over.

Arsenal's Spain midfielder has not played since damaging knee ligaments during a 1-1 draw at Norwich on November 29, and Arsene Wenger this week revealed his recovery is being affected by an Achilles problem.

But Cazorla - ruled out for four months at the start of December - insists he is on course to return on schedule.

He tweeted: "Surprised by the piece of news appeared in press, deadlines are going as planned. I will be ready on 1st April."
