Arsenal recruit Takuma Asano embraces new challenge

Japan striker Takuma Asano is eager to take the next step in his career after agreeing a deal to join Arsenal.

The 21-year-old is set to join the Gunners, subject to a medical and international clearance, from J-League side Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Asano has been part of two title-winning sides in his home country and was named rookie of the year in Japan last season.

"I am glad that I can have a challenge overseas, which I have always wanted," said Asano.
