Mohamed Elneny was carried off in tears during Arsenal's game with West Ham at the Emirates.

The incident happened shortly before half time when the midfielder injured an ankle in a collision with Mark Noble.

The Egypt international was taken off on a stretcher and replaced by Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Geoff Shreeves told Sky Sports: "There was a collective holding of breath with Egypt being in the World Cup this summer but the good news is it's just a rolled ankle.

"I've spoken to the Arsenal medical staff and they don't think it is a serious problem at all."

Arsenal play Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday.
