Arsenal are reportedly nearing a new goalkeeper, as we round up the latest rumours on Thursday, May 17.

Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign highly-rated Bayer Leverkusen 'keeper Bernd Leno, according to reports in the Sun.

The 26-year-old shot stopper is currently contracted to the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2020.

The Mirror is are reporting that Arsenal are ready to splash out on three defenders - Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund, West Brom's Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu of Freiburg - this summer.

Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury that is expected to keep the France international out for the next six months.

And as part of their defensive overhaul, Arsenal will also allow Shkodran Mustafi to leave the capital, says the Mirror.
