Roberto Carlos states Gunners dream

ROBERTO CARLOS has sensationally claimed that he will join Arsenal when his current contract with Real Madrid expires.

Speaking in the News of the World, Roberto Carlos insists that he is ready for a move to The Premiership, and it is Arsenal that holds the biggest draw.

"I am ready to play in the English Premier League and know it will be suitable for me," said the Brazilian World Cup star.

"When my contract finishes that is definitely my priority and at Arsenal there are fellow Brazilians.

"I think as a club they are like Real Madrid - they have a supreme confidence that looks utterly unbreakable.

"When a team is like that, they are difficult to beat. They have a great squad, a fantastic coach and a balanced team.

"Everyone is relaxed and knows their position in the club and I know they can achieve unimaginable success.

"I have discussed this with Gilberto Silva and he has told me what to expect at Arsenal.

"When Brazilians come into a different environment like England, it's useful and intelligent to have a few of them together.

"When Edu plays with Gilberto, Arsenal play a different kind of football. It works.

"So in England I would love to have the company of other players from Brazil, that would make my introduction a lot smoother - and we could win things quicker!

"I have been to London a few times and I am sure I would enjoy its attractions with my family. Who would not like to live there?"
