Svard close to Portugal move
Arsenal's Sebastian Svard is reportedly set to move to Vitoria Guimaraes.
Arsenal youngster Sebastian Svard is reportedly set to move to Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes. The Danish defender has failed to make an impression on Arsene Wenger during his four years at Highbury since moving from FC Copenhagen.
Despite taking part in the Community Shield final against Manchester United last year Svard was farmed out on loan to Danish outfit Brondby where he won the league and cup double with his adopted team.
The versatile 22-year-old is now close to finalising a one-year loan deal with Guimaraes, according to reports in the Portuguese press.
Guimaraes coach Jaime Pacheco is looking to reshape the squad in his second stint in charge of the club after taking the helm in May, and could recruit Svard to deepen his defensive options.
