Oumar Niasse is one of five Everton players not to be allocated a shirt number for the 2016/17 Premier League season.

Niasse is joined by forwards Conor McAleny and Leandro Rodriguez, winger Aiden McGeady and defender Luke Garbutt to miss out on a squad number.

The 26-year-old, Everton's third most expensive signing at £13.5m, has managed just 152 minutes of competitive football since arriving from Lokomotiv Moscow in January.

The Senegal international played only one half of a behind-closed-doors match during Everton's Austrian training camp but has not featured in any of the club's four friendlies.

Republic of Ireland international McGeady featured briefly in the Toffees' first two domestic pre-season games, but did not travel to Germany for two matches in Dresden and his No 7 shirt has been given to Gerard Deulofeu ahead of the new season.
