Kevin Mirallas has revealed Everton manager Ronald Koeman wants "more assists, more goals and more consistency" from the winger next season.

The Belgium international has recently signed a new deal at Goodison Park, but is well aware his goals tally for next season needs to improve.

The 29-year-old has spent five seasons on Merseyside and, with one game remaining, has netted just four goals - his poorest return to date.

This figure is well down on his 2014/15 campaign when he netted 11 times under former manager Roberto Martinez.

Mirallas, who put pen to paper on a new three-year contract last week, said: "I have spoken with the manager and he wants more from me - more assists, more goals, more consistency.

"But I will work hard for that and hope to play even better next season.

"He (boss Ronald Koeman) was a very important part in my decision to sign a new contract because he believes in my qualities.

In addition to his four goals during 2016/17, his total of assists in all competitions is six.
