Wayne Rooney's stunning strike on Everton return

Wayne Rooney scored on his second Everton return with a sensational long-range strike as Ronald Koeman's side beat Gor Mahia 2-1 in their opening pre-season game on Thursday.
Making his first official appearance for the Toffees since leaving the club for Manchester United in 2004, Rooney opened the scoring in Tanzania with a brilliant effort on 34 minutes.
It was a dream return for the England international, who lasted 45 minutes before Koeman changed his entire XI at half-time, with debuts too for new signings Davy Klaassen and Michael Keane.
It was the striker's only effort on goal before he was replaced at the break as Everton toiled in the heat throughout the first half in Dar es Salaam.
But not many players have the skill - never mind the audacity - to score from such range. Returning to the Premier League, that kind of magic could make the difference in tight games.
