As part of Everton in the Community's project called 'Home is Where The Heart Is' more than 200 people spent the night sleeping at Goodison Park for a second year running to help raise funds and awareness for the homeless of Liverpool.

The project was kick-started by current Everton interim boss David Unsworth and his U23 squad as they teamed up with Everton in the Community, with the aim of raising £230,000 to purchase and maintain a house for young homeless people in Liverpool aged 16-23.

On the eve of the season Everton in the Community announced that the fundraising target had been met and surpassed - with £244,400 amassed.

As well as the two Goodison Park sleep out's, 23 fans participated in a 230-mile bike ride from Sligo to Goodison to raise money for the cause.

'The Home is Where The Heart Is' campaign plans to expand after having already bought one property as they bid to help the homeless of Liverpool.
