Everton name Martyn Margetson goalkeeping coach

Martyn Margetson has been appointed goalkeeping coach at Everton.

The 46-year-old former Wales international joins up with Toffees' manager Sam Allardyce for the fourth time in his career.

Margetson has previously worked with Allardyce at West Ham, Crystal Palace and England.

He moves to Merseyside from Selhurst Park, having had a 15-year playing career between 1992 and 2007.

Margetson made 50 appearances for Manchester City, before having spells at Southend United, Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City.

He joins the Everton backroom staff which currently includes Sammy Lee (assistant manager), Craig Shakespeare (first team coach), Duncan Ferguson (first team coach) and Ryland Morgans (performance director).

He will take his place in the dug out on Saturday when Everton take on Bournemouth on the south coast.
