Chester clinch Kearney deal

Chester City have wrapped up a loan deal for Everton starlet Alan Kearney.

Chester City have wrapped up a loan deal for Everton starlet Alan Kearney.

The Republic of Ireland youth international has moved to the League Two club for a period of one month and will look to make his senior bow under Mark Wright.

Kearney is yet to play for Everton and has impressed Chester considerably after training with the club over the past week.

Now Chester chairman Stephen Vaughan has praised the Premiership club for their assistance in bringing Kearney to the Saunders Honda Stadium.

"Alan's a very promising player. It's a massive plus to be able to work with Everton and we've got a good relationship with them. We intend to keep it that way," said Vaughan.

"They're helping us with the deal and they look to place the kids rather than leave them in the reserves.

"It's a good deal for us and Alan looks like a cracking player."
