Reading's owners are in advanced talks to sell the club to a Chinese brother and sister, according to Sky sources.

If the deal goes through Reading would become the fifth Chinese-owned club in English football, after West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa, Birmingham City and Wolves.

The Sky Bet Championship club's current Thai owners - Lady Sasima Srivikorn, Sumrith Thanakarnjanasuth and Narin Niruttinanon - are negotiating to sell Reading to Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li.

Yongge and Xiu Li also tried to buy Hull City two months ago.

Under the deal being negotiated, the new owners would buy the club, the stadium and the training ground.

Reading's current owners bought the club in September 2014.

The Royals have won their past five league matches under Jaap Stam and are third in the Championship table.
