Kenny Jackett has been appointed Portsmouth's new manager.

Jackett has signed a two-year contract to replace Paul Cook, the man who guided Pompey into Sky Bet League One but then moved on to become Wigan manager earlier this week.

Jackett has been working as a coach in Tottenham's academy set-up and has previously managed at Millwall, Swansea and Wolves.

Portsmouth will play in League One alongside Wigan after the Latics suffered relegation from the Championship after just one season back in England's second tier.
