Jan Vertonghen says Tottenham have the squad to cope with their current injury problems ahead of a busy Premier League and Europa League schedule.

Winger Nacer Chadli has been ruled out for six weeks with an ankle injury picked up in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Saturday and the Belgian joins Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason, Alex Pritchard and Heung-Min Son on the sidelines.

Spurs travel to Anderlecht in the Europa League on Thursday, before visiting Bournemouth on Sunday as they look to extend their eight-match unbeaten run in the league.

Vertonghen, who has formed a formidable central defensive partnership with Belgian compatriot Toby Alderweireld this season, says the players prefer it when the games come thick and fast.

"Once you're in the flow it's just nice to keep playing the games," Vertonghen told Sky Sports News HQ. "You get a rest in between.

"We have a big squad, we have enough players who can play. We have a couple of injuries now but I think our squad is big enough to face the games.

"It's been very busy the last couple of weeks, but that's what we want. We just want games to stay in the flow we are in now. I think we are doing very well and we want to keep it up in Europe and the Premier League. Hopefully we can win both games this week."
