Tottenham youngster Nathan Oduwa has announced that his season-long loan at Rangers has been cut short.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder had impressed since joining Mark Warburton's side in the summer and made 19 appearances, but he has not played since December 19.
Premier League clubs generally require their loan players to get regular playing time and will usually recall those that are not part of the loan club's plans.
Oduwa, who scored a solitary Rangers goal in November, said on Twitter: "My time at Rangers has come to an end.
"But I'd like to thank everyone associated with Rangers for making me feel at home both on and off the field.
"I want to wish the players good luck for the rest of the season and hope they get Rangers back to the Scottish Premiership."
Oduwa was one of two Tottenham players who joined the Scottish Championship side on loan, along with Dominic Ball, who remains at Ibrox.
Sky sources reported last August that Oduwa had held talks with the club over a new contract but no new terms have yet been signed.
