UEFA have confirmed Dele Alli will face no further action for his kick on Nenad Tomovic in Tottenham’s Europa League draw at Fiorentina.

Alli was booked in the first-half at the Stadio Artemio Franchi after he kicked Tomovic while he was on the floor but UEFA have announced the decision of the referee is final.

Replays show the England international made no effort to jump clear of the Viola defender and instead caught him with a boot.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino claimed that he did not see the incident but said that he will talk to the 19-year-old midfielder about the more aggressive side of his game.

"We need to look at the video and try to teach him," he said. "He is a young player and he has a lot to learn about elite football. It is his first season in the Premier League at Tottenham.

"He came from League One, he needs to learn a lot, still learn. But I didn't see [the incident]. Some people say 'yes', say 'no', so I don't know."

But Alli feels it is something that improves him, as he added: "My personality is that I like to express myself and that is not something I will look to change.

"Do you need an aggressive streak to thrive? You could say that. A lot of the great players have that mentality. I want to be the best I can and if that's what I need to do it, that's what I do."
