Matt Le Tissier says it would not be a surprise if Mauricio Pochettino left Tottenham for PSG this summer, but does not believe Manchester United would tempt him.
The Argentine has been linked with both clubs after leading Tottenham to their most successful Premier League campaign, with speculation cranked up by his admission that returning to PSG as manager would be a "dream".
Pochettino previously impressed as Southampton manager, overseeing a talented young squad record a joint-high Premier League finish, before being tempted away by Spurs' lofty ambitions.
Saints legend Le Tiss suspects the 44-year-old would struggle to resist an approach from PSG.
The Soccer Saturday pundit said: "It doesn't shock me that Pochettino, who is an ambitious manager, would be touting himself for other jobs and it wouldn't surprise me if he left.
"He's very driven, be it by ambition or finances and I think if PSG did come knocking then he would accept it."
Le Tiss believes it would be a mistake for Pochettino to move on this summer with a wealth of young talent in his Spurs squad, while suggesting PSG might not even be interested due to his lack of Champions League experience.
"I think he'd be mad to leave to be honest because he's got something very good there. I'd like to see him stay at Tottenham and continue to build.
"You don't see why they won't be challenging for the title next season and you'd certainly expect them to be in the top-four mix.
"The French league isn't very competitive so it would be purely for the Champions League, but I think that reasoning could count against him as PSG want a man who will deliver them the Europe's top prize.
"He certainly is forging a reputation as one of the top managers out there but he's still some way off the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho has reportedly been approached by PSG, but Le Tiss believes the 'Special One' is destined to become Manchester United boss this summer, a position which Pochettino has also been linked with.
"I still think Mourinho is going to be at Old Trafford next season," he added. "And I don't think it would be an attractive to Pochettino because they're probably not going to be in the Champions League next season."
